# Share Octopoda with your team: members and roles

> Invite people to your Octopoda account on the Team plan, choose between the owner, admin and member roles, and see what each role can do.

A team account lets up to 5 people share repositories, scans, findings and credits. Teams are part of the Team plan; Builder and Pro have one seat. Manage your team on the **Team** page under **Settings**.

## Roles

| Role | Can do |
| - | - |
| **Member** | Run scans and triage findings. |
| **Admin** | Everything a member can, plus manage billing, the team and repository settings. |
| **Owner** | Everything an admin can. The person who created the account is its owner. |

Members see the account's repositories, scans, findings, and credit balance. Only owners and admins see the **Billing** page and get payment and low-credit emails.

## Invite someone

**1. Open the Team page**

Go to **Settings → Team**. You need to be an owner or admin.

**2. Send the invite**

Enter the person's email address, or the GitHub username of someone who has already signed in to Octopoda, and choose **Member** or **Admin**. Select **Send invite**. Octopoda emails them an invitation link.

**3. They accept**

The invitee opens the link, signs in with GitHub and accepts. Invitations expire after 14 days; you can resend or revoke one under **Pending invites**.

A pending invite holds a seat until it is accepted or revoked. The Team plan has 5 seats, including yours.

## Change a role or remove someone

On the **Team** page, owners and admins can change a member's role or remove them. Removing someone does not delete anything they did: their scans and triage decisions stay in the account's history.

## Move to the Team plan

If you are on Builder or Pro, the **Team** page offers **Move to the Team plan**. Upgrading takes effect immediately. See [Manage your plan and billing](https://docs.octopoda.dev/billing/manage-billing.md).
